Audition and Rehearsal Information
Ever wanted to be in the Spotlight? Join us for our full-scale camp-style production of "Oliver!" this summer!
ANYONE, ages 6 and up, can audition regardless of school district. No experience necessary. Auditions will be by appointment only.
Auditions will be held at Lafayette High School on April 4 from 5:30-10 p.m. and April 5 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Lafayette High School is located at 17050 Clayton Road, Wildwood, MO 63011.
Audition callbacks will take place at Lafayette High School on Saturday, April 5 starting at 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 6 at Crestview Middle from 12-9 p.m. You/Your child will only be called for one of those days. You will be notified via email on Saturday no later than 3 p.m. with expectations. If your audition is after 3 p.m. on Saturday, we will notify you directly after your time slot.

Audition Requirements:
• Prepare 16-32 measures of a song of your choice. Please do not select a song from "Oliver". You must provide sheet music for your song selection.
• Headshot (does not need to be professional). Email to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than Monday, March 31, 2025.
• Please wear comfortable, school-appropriate attire. Keep in mind that clothing should allow you to move freely, as you may be sitting on the floor or moving around. Avoid clothing that may be restrictive or unsuitable for an active environment (jeans, clunky shoes, flip flops, dresses, etc.).
• Please provide the audition form AND conflict calendar upon arrival for your audition appointment. These forms will be emailed to you with your appointment confirmation or click the buttons below. Please fill them out completely and bring them with you to your scheduled audition appointment.
Virtual Audition Requirements:
• Prepare 16-32 measures ONLY of a song of your choice. Please do not select a song from "Oliver". Please perform your chosen song with an accompaniment track only. Please do not use a track with containing vocals.
• Headshot (does not need to be professional). Email to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than Friday, April 4, 2025.
• Please wear comfortable, school-appropriate attire. Keep in mind that clothing should allow you to move freely, as you may be sitting on the floor or moving around. Avoid clothing that may be restrictive or unsuitable for an active environment (jeans, clunky shoes, flip flops, dresses, etc.).
• For the dance audition, please watch this choreography video and record yourself performing the demonstrated dance steps. Email the video to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025.
• Please be sure to email your required completed paperwork including your headshot, conflict calendar, audition form, and costume form to spotlightauditions@prcommunityed.org by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025. The forms are available on this page.
• We will have a virtual callback option, if you are needed for callbacks. Please check your email throughout the weekend of auditions for information and instructions for virtual callbacks. Please remember that not receiving a callback does not at all mean you are not cast in the show.

Rehearsal Information:
• Rehearsals for the show will begin Monday, June 2 and will continue through July 9 when we switch to performances.
• Rehearsals will take place at Rockwood Summit High School from 2-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some weekend and evening commitments as the performances gets closer.

In-Person Audition Requirements
- Prepare 16-32 bars ONLY of a song of your choice. Anything over this length will be cut off by 32 measures. Please do not select a song from the "The Music Man" musical itself. You must provide sheet music for your song selection. An accompanist will be provided to play your music.
- Review and practice this choreography video and be prepared to perform it at your audition appointment.
- Headshot (does not need to be professional). Email to spotlightproductions@
prcommunityed.org no later than Wednesday, March 30, 2024. - Wear comfortable, school-appropriate attire. Appropriate clothing DOES NOT include jeans, low-cut tops, clunky shoes, flip flops, overly revealing tops or pants, and dresses (unless appropriate garments are worn underneath). Be prepared to move around and possibly sit on the floor. Do not wear anything that might restrict that movement.

- Record the dance portion of your audition by rehearsing this choreography video and record yourself performing this short choreography piece.
