Audition and Rehearsal Information

Audition Dates & Location

• Audition Dates:

  • Friday, April 5, 2024 - 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 6, 2024 - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
     

• Callbacks:
  • Callback location: Lafayette High School, 17050 Clayton Rd., Wildwood, MO  63011
  • Callbacks will take place by appointment on Saturday, April 13, 2024 - 1 p.m.-9 p.m.

In-Person Audition Requirements

• Prepare 16-32 bars ONLY of a song of your choice. Anything over this length will be cut off by 32 measures. Please do not select a song from the "The Music Man" musical itself. You must provide sheet music for your song selection. An accompanist will be provided to play your music.
• Review and practice this choreography video and be prepared to perform it at your audition appointment.
• Headshot (does not need to be professional). Email to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than Wednesday, March 30, 2024.
• Wear comfortable, school-appropriate attire. Appropriate clothing DOES NOT include jeans, low-cut tops, clunky shoes, flip flops, overly revealing tops or pants, and dresses (unless appropriate garments are worn underneath). Be prepared to move around and possibly sit on the floor. Do not wear anything that might restrict that movement.
• Please complete and email the required audition form, conflict calendar, and costume audition form. Email spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than March 30, 2024.

Virtual Audition Requirements

• Prepare 16-32 bars ONLY of a song of your choice. Please do not select a song from 'The Music Man' musical itself. You must provide your own accompaniment for your music. 
• Record the dance portion of your audition by rehearsing this choreography video and record yourself performing this short choreography piece.
• Email your vocal and dance audition video to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than Thursday, April 4, 2024.
• Email headshot (does not need to be professional) to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than March 29, 2024. 
• Please complete and email the required audition form, conflict calendar, and costume audition form. Email spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than March 29, 2024.

You will receive an audition appointment confirmation with all of the necessary information and required paperwork attached. All paperwork must be emailed to spotlightproductions@prcommunityed.org no later than March 30, 2024.

Rehearsal Information

Rehearsals for the show will begin Monday, June 3, 2024 and go through July 10, 2024, when we switch to performances.

Rehearsals will take place at Marquette High School from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday with some weekend and evening commitments as the performances get closer.
