High school students from Parkway and Rockwood will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a presidential inauguration

Inauguration Trip


​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​High school students from Parkway and Rockwood (60 from each district) will get this once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness a presidential inauguration.  You will witness the inauguration and parade as well as Washington D.C. landmarks that may include: Arlington National Cemetery, White House and Parade Route (Pennsylvania Avenue),  Smithsonian, Capitol Building and Supreme Court, and memorials including Lincoln, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, Jefferson, Martin Luther King, FDR and the US Marine Corps War Memorial.

$979/person  | A $199 deposit is due at time of registration.

The fee has been set to meet the district requirement that all trips are self-funded and fees cover the cost for all expenses.  Limited fee assistance is available to those who qualify on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are exhausted. The trip is open to Parkway and Rockwood students in grades 9-12 for the 2020-21 school year. Registrations must be submitted by the parent or legal guardian for the child.

About Online Registration: In order to register online, you will need to create an account in our online registration system (if you do not already have one). In addition, your child must be added to your account prior to registering him/ her for the trip program.

​Travel and Lodging Accommodations

We will travel by charter coach to the Washington, D.C. Our accommodations are in a hostel a few blocks from the White House. Meals are included. Many allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated, please contact Kevin Zimmer at or call 636-458-3048 for more information.
