Specializing in teambuilding, outdoor skills, environmental education, and outdoor education, we can prepare and teach programs for school groups, scout groups, homeschool groups, rental groups, and staff development groups.
Homeschool/Pod Programs
Home school groups and groups who are schooling at home have access to Outdoor Education programs by appointment! Choose a day, time and outdoor education topic to fit your needs. Programs are 1.5 hrs long and adapted to student’s age. After the program, stay for another 1.5 hours for a free play session, outdoors at our facility.
- Grades K-2: Pond Ecology, Forest Ecology, Food Webs, The Universe, Energy
- Grades 3-5: Pond Ecology, Forest Ecology, Adaptations, Fossils, Weather
- Grades 6-8: Pond Ecology, Forest Ecology, Invasive Species, Adaptations, Geology
Don’t see something you’re interested in? Just ask! We can create customized programs to fit your group’s needs. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis and availability depends on the Outdoor Education Center schedule. There is a minimum of 5 kids to reserve a program.

Short Programs
Programs that run between 1-3 hours can be designed to meet the needs of many kinds of groups on a variety of topics (listed below). They can take place on a weekend, early dismissal day, during a group rental or any time that works for your group!
Scout Programs
We offer badge programs by appointment for Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Badge programs focus on outdoor education skills and activities. Programs are customizable and many can be adapted to fit your troop’s needs.

School Groups
Whether you want to participate in a one-day field trip or an overnight residential program, we have many programs designed to fit your curriculum. Depending on group size, field trips will be taught by a combination of OEC staff and teachers from the school. Program fees vary depending on the length of the program, size of the group, and program choice.
