The Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis held their annual Walk in the Park at Busch Stadium on September 26. The event brings together families from the St. Louis area and beyond for a day of fun, baseball and an experience that fills the stadium with excitement.
The excitement level was off the charts this year for Eli Haith, a fourth grade student at Ridge Meadows Elementary and an Adventure Club participant. As the top fundraiser in his age group, Eli earned the right to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game! In addition, his fundraising efforts also allowed him to earn enough tickets to invite his entire class to join him at the game.
This isn't the first time Eli has been acknowledged for his fundraising efforts. Over the last three years, his efforts have landed him on the field as an honorary short stop (twice) and first baseman.
Congratulations Eli - the entire Adventure Club team is proud of you!
