BablerWiLD is a science and nature based day camp located in Babler State Park. Our Summer programs provide many different opportunities for children in grades pre-k through 8th grade. Whether you are looking for something to fit into a busy summer schedule, enjoy exploring the outdoors, or are looking for a great way to meet new friends, BablerWiLD Summer programs has something for everyone!

staff of BablerWiLD Day Camp have a heart for working with kids. Summer
camp staff will include a mix of returning counselors as well as
counselors new to BablerWiLD. They are at camp to teach kids, tell
jokes, fix scrapes, scare the bugs away, give hugs and make sure campers
have an experience they will never forget! The entire camp staff, from
counselors to cooks, are employed by the Rockwood School District,
participate in background checks and are committed to providing campers
with a safe and healthy experience. The staff to camper ratio is 1:8 or
less. Camp staff are trained in accordance with American Camp
Bus Transportation Options
BablerWiLD is happy to provide convenient, centrally located bus pick-up/drop off locations to and from select schools in both the Rockwood and Parkway school districts. Riding the bus is a great way for campers to gain independence, meet new friends and start the camp day a little early. Buses are supervised by BablerWiLD counselors and the price is included in the cost of camp. Please see individual camp pages for times and availability.
Before and After Care
Before and After Care is available at most pick-up and drop-off locations for additional fees. This service is availalble for any child who has completed Kindergarten and is open to all BablerWiLD families regardless of school district. BablerWiLD counselors will supervise and transport campers to and from BablerWiLD each day. See individual camp pages for locations and availability. Before and After Care is not available at the BablerWiLD camp facility located in Babler State Park.
Our Outdoor Weeks of camp encourage campers to jump in and learn about nature first hand through daily exploration and discovery. Each week is centered around a theme and is fully programmed with age appropriate activities. Transportation is available for our full day camps and is included in the price of camp. These camps take place during the first and last week of summer vacation. With an extended camp day of 8am to 4pm, campers have an opportunity to experience outdoor and nature based field trips as well as choice activities. See the links on the left for specific details about each week.
BablerWiLD’s Half Day Mini Camp is perfect for the first time camper! A shortened camp day and experienced camp counselors make this a safe, comfortable and exciting camp experience. A great way to introduce your child to camp for an experience they will never forget.A great way to try out a new skill in a small group setting! Half Day classes are offered in a morning or afternoon session and are developed to offer a fun and engaging outdoor experience. This is a great opportunity to try out some classic outdoor activities like archery or fishing.
These 5 individual classes have been created for the middle schooler interested in spending time in the outdoors. With classes focusing on everything from hiking to fire building, there is something for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Each class is scheduled for a full day and will practice newly learned skills under the supervision of BablerWiLD counselors.
Once registered, you will be emailed a packet of helpful information as well as required paperwork that is due before the start of camp. These information and form packets can also be found on the left of this page, as well as each individual camp page. These forms are designed to be fillable from your home computer.
