Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed actively promotes inclusive practices in programming and strives to provide reasonable accommodations to participants with disabilities.
Reasonable accommodations are resources to aid in the participation of programs and may include: training for program staff, consultation with individual and family, activity modification, behavior management support, sign language interpreters, assistive devices, and/or provision of a support staff. Accommodations are made as needed and can be flexible and creative, so long as not fundamentally altering a program.
Our goal is to focus on the needs, interests and abilities of participants while fostering a community that is welcoming, understanding and ultimately, inclusive.
Request for Accommodation
If you or a family member requires an accommodation to participate in a program, please indicate this during the registration process. If you did not indicate a need for accommodation during the registration process, please complete a
Request for Accommodation form. The Community Ed Inclusion Specialist will be in contact with you regarding your request.
Note: To ensure necessary supports are in place, we ask that all requests be made at least two weeks prior to program start.
Inclusion Profile
To better understand the needs of our participants, we ask that anyone seeking accommodation complete an
Inclusion Profile form. The Inclusion Profile is confidential and only shared with those directly involved in assisting the participant. All questions are optional and we ask that you share only what is most pertinent and/or what you are most comfortable with sharing. Should more information be needed after receipt of the Inclusion Profile, the Community Ed Inclusion Specialist will be in contact with you.
Note: We ask that information on Inclusion Profiles be updated annually or as significant changes occur.
