 General Questions

Online registration is the most convenient way to register. You will need to create an account on the online registration system if you do not already have one. Creating an account is quick and easy. Once your account is created, all children and family members must be added to your account prior to registering them for a program. Yes! Community Ed programs, with few exceptions, are open to everyone throughout the St. Louis area. If a program is limited to district students, it will be noted in the course description on the online registration system.

  • Adventure Club: school-year registration opens in early April.  
  • Trek & Travel Trips: registration opens in mid-to-late October.  
  • Rockwood Thunder Volleyball Club: tryouts take place as follows:
    • Boys U10-U18 teams: late September
    • Girls U10-U14 teams: late October
    • Girls U15-U18 teams: late November

Rockwood Swim Club: All new swimmers need to attend a swimming placement session which is offered multiple times throughout the year.  Visit www.rockwoodswim.org for more information.

When registering online, a registration confirmation email will be sent to the email address listed in your account.  You can also log into your account on the online registration system and review your account history for current and upcoming registrations.

Fee assistance may be available to those who qualify and is dependent upon meeting certain income guidelines. Some programs have limited fee assistance, which is available on a first-come, first serve basis. Call or text us at 636-891-6644 or email info@prcommunityed.org​ for more information.

Yes. Parkway and Rockwood residents age 60 and older are eligible to become members of the Gold Card program which provides unlimited discounts up to 50% off many Community Ed programs. Gold Card Card membership is free and can be requested online or by calling or texting us at 636-891-664 or emailing info@prcommunityed.org​.

The Gold Cards are free to district residents age 60 and older. Request a Gold Card online or call or text us at 636-891-6644 or email us at info@prcommunityed.org​.

When you register online and add the program to your cart, the Gold Card rate will automatically apply and show correctly.  If you do not see the Gold Card Card rate, call or text us at 636-891-6644 or email us at info@prcommunityed.org​.

Some programs have the option to sign up for a wait list when they become full. You can sign up for the wait list through the online registration system. Although the system will ask for a payment method when signing up for a wait list, you will not be charged unless you are placed into the program.

If the Parkway or Rockwood School District closes due to inclement weather, then all Community Ed programs are also cancelled in Parkway or Rockwood.  

You can stay up-to-date on Community Ed program cancellations through our RainoutLine system.  With RainoutLine you can receive updates via several methods including the RainoutLine app, email, text, phone hotline, social media and the Community Ed website.  Customize the way you want ot receive our cancellation and update information by visiting our RainoutLine homepage​.​

Community Ed will email participants if a program is cancelled due to non-weather related reasons.

For summer programs, children should register based on the grade level they will be entering for the next school year.

You can find an updated blackout date list for all sports leagues in the Coaches Corner ​section of our website. Once on the page, choose your league in the 'Additional Resources' section for the blackout date list.  The list is updated on a regular basis, so be sure to check often.

An electronic program evaluation is sent via email following completion of all programs. If you have any additional information you would like to provide regarding a program, you can complete this feedback form.

The main Community Ed office is located at 1401 Froesel Dr., Ellisville, MO 63011. We are located on the campus of Ellisville Elementary School. We have a dedicated entrance for Community Ed that is on the east end of the campus closest to Clarkson Rd. Please do not enter through the main doors of the school. Program guides are mailed three times per year to coincide with the start of registration for each season.  The Fall program guide is mailed in mid-July. The Winter-Spring program guide is mailed in early December. The Summer program guide is mailed in mid-February.

 Adult Education & Literacy Questions

​HSE is an abbreviation for High School Equivalency.
GED® is an abbreviation for the General Educational Development high school equivalency tests.
In January 2014, the HiSET™ test replaced the GED® test as the official High School Equivalency (HSE) test for Missouri.

​The HSE Test will give you a high school equivalency certificate, which is recognized by the military, community colleges, universities, and employers as being equivalent to a high school diploma.

​Anyone who is at least 17 years old, is not enrolled in high school and has not graduated from high school. If you are 16 years old, you must have 16 hours of high school credit, a letter from your principal stating that you have these credits, and be withdrawn from school.

​No.  Our classes help you prepare for the test.

​Language Arts/Writing (including writing an essay), Social Studies, Science, Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics.  More information can be found here.

​Yes, the tests are computer based.

​It takes approximately 8 hours to complete the entire battery of tests. The individual tests range from 65 minutes to 2 hours in length.  Most people schedule the tests one at a time.​
​If you are certain you are ready for the HSE Tests, click here or here to schedule your test.

​The HSE test costs $98.75 for the complete battery.  You can pay for the tests individually.  It’s $27.75 for the first test and $17.75 for each subsequent test.

​Enroll in one of our classes, take our preliminary tests, and we can give you an idea how close you are to being ready to pass the HSE Tests.

 School-Age Care Questions

Ensure all children are added to your account under "Relationships" prior to registering them for an Adventure Club contract. ​School-year Adventure Club registration opens in early April.  Summer Adventure Club registration opens in mid-February.

​Submitting an application means the process has been started but is not complete. All contract applications are time stamped and dated in the order received. You will receive a notification once your contract is approved.

​The total cost for the scheduled attendance days in the school year is divided into ten (10) payments: one partial payment and nine full payments.  There are no charges for school holidays included in your monthly tuition payment.  Holiday/non-school days are a separate registration and fee.

​Registration for non-school day Advenure Club dates ends three weeks before the date being requested.  Late registration may be available for an additional fee depending on space availability in program.

When a wait list occurs we are continually working toward activating your child(ren)'s enrollment. Status of wait lists can vary from day to day and from location to location depending on several factors. We understand this can be an inconvenience to your family and we will promptly notify you once your child's enrollment can be activated. ​A schedule change can be requested through your online account, or you can send a request to info@prcommunityed.org. All changes become effective starting on a Monday for staffing purposes. A two-week notice is required. If a schedule change request falls in the attendance period that has already been invoiced, please call or text us at 636-891-6644 or emal info@prcommunityed.org​.

When arriving at Adventure Club, ring the buzzer to gain entrance to the building, and sign your child in or out of the program Only a parent/guardian or authorized pick-up will be allowed to sign a child out of Adventure Club.

​The Adventure Club hours are 6 AM to 6 PM in Parkway, and 6:30 AM to 6 PM in Rockwood. You may drop your child off any time after the start time and they must be picked up by 6 PM.

​Children picked up after 6:00 PM will be charged a late pick up fee of $2 per minute per family.

We do not offer drop in care or flex scheduling. A set schedule is required for the before/after care program to ensure we have adequate staffing in place.  

​A withdrawal or drop of an entire session can be requested through your online account or through an email to our office at info@prcommunityed.org. A two-week notice is required and all changes become effective starting on a Monday. Tuition fees will be charged through the last day of the required two week notice period.

​Yes you can split tuition payments by percentages. Please call us at 636-891-6644 so we can set this up for you.

​Yes! All children attending Adventure Club receive 25% off all E-Hour classes. In addition, children with a five day per week schedule(am, pm or both) receive one free E-Hour class per year. Adventure Club families will receive information about E-Hour at the start of the school year and prior to each E-Hour session. ​You can download your tax statement by logging into your online account. The tax statement is tied to the account owner's email address who registered the child for Adventure Club. ​Yes. As a courtesy to current Adventure Club families, applications received during the first two weeks after registration opens for the school year will receive preference over new family applications.

​The Community Ed summer promotion discount does not apply to select programs, including Adventure Club's SummerLink and the Zone.  

​We are not able to hold spots when a child will be absent for an extended period of time. You have the option to stay in the program and continue to pay tuition or you can drop/re-register when you are ready to return. Acceptance in Adventure Club would be subject to availability at the time you re-register and registration fees would apply.
